The BEST Beef burgers

Rissoles with veggies or salad

These are decidedly, the best beef burgers you will ever taste. Who decided? Me! I love them. So did Summer. 

Isabel just wasn't interested in dinner, she ate an apple. I think Brett liked them.

They are yumptious, scrumptious. There's no egg, or breadcrumbs so easy too, if you don't have any in your larder. All you need is BBQ sauce, of some sort (use tomato sauce if you have too) and worcestershire sauce. If you don't have that use soy sauce.

Here's how you can make them. It's easy.

The BEST Beef Burgers

400 - 500 grams of beef mince
1 onion, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced or finely grated
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce(I used a smoky one)
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
60 grams cheese, grated. (Any sort you have)
1/4 cup chopped parsley(Optional. Because some kids, like mine, don't like any sign of green)


#hottip - use egg rings to make patties uniform


Combine all ingredients. Best done by getting your fingers in the bowl and scrunching it all together.

Using an egg ring as a mould, press the mince mixture in to form burgers. Remove ring. Repeat until all burger mince has been used.

Fry or grill burgers until cooked through.

  2. Yum I love all burgers and thankfully after many painful years mine both eat bacon cheeseburgers. Woo hoo. Egg and breadcrumbs are always in mine though.

  4. I have tried and tried and tried to make homemade burger patties. I can never get them as good as Aldi's. I know some Aldi's overseas have been found to have horse meat in their hamburgers, but Aldi Australia claims it is NOT in their's, so I choose to believe them. And, well, if they do have horse meat...maybe that's what makes them so yum!?!?! ha! I will try these, if they are as yummy then I will stop buying ALdi ones!

  6. That is a great idea, eg using a round thing to shape the suckers, I must do more of this as kids love them on the 3 times I have pulled finger and done it!

    1. Egg rings are great for the patties made with mash potato too, just put in the fridge on the board to firm up and then crumb them ;)

  9. My kids never used to like burgers. Hard to handle when they are little, but I will definitely have to give it another go now they are bigger.

    1. You can just make simple cheeseburgers for them for starters. It's hard to know with kids, they are so hit and miss.
