I haven't made homemade pasta for a while. So I think tonight will be a good night to start again. Love your ruler idea. I think that I just may have to adopt it. Prue x
It worked a treat! Being the first time I made it, I had to make do with I thought would work. It turned out pretty good cooked, Izzy loved it, she's a big pasta fan though.
I wasn't sure what else to do! I've been shopping and got myself a pasta machine since, so I'll be trying that out next. A lot less time consuming than the ruler and a knife!
Looks great! Being of Italian heritage, I've tasted lots of homemade pasta from my mum and Nonna but believe it or not, have never attempted it on my own (I've only been the assistant)! Definitely on my "to do" list!
This is the first time I made it. I have made the dough before, but I froze it and didn't get around to finishing it and chucked it out on a freezer cull.
Awesome!!! I have been meaning to try my hand at home made pasta forever, thanks for the reminder to get onto it, I reckon the kids would have a blast doing this.

DeleteI've always wanted to make my own pasta but it never turns out, woopsy. I agree, using a ruler is a great idea.

DeleteI was wondering how people dried it , saw someone else's homemade pasta yesterday too.
ReplyDeleteI had to quickly fold the clothes while the pasta dough rested, so I had somewhere to hang it ;P
Deletegosh I would like to try by I am very time poor at the moment
ReplyDeleteThe dough takes no time at all. I've just got a pasta machine which will take a lot less time to cut the pasta, I haven't tried it out yet.
DeleteYou make it look so simple! Thank you!!

ReplyDeleteThe first and only time I tried to make gnocchi was a disaster! My son made it at school and it was better than mine!
