Zema Estate, are one of the 20 odd wineries in Coonawarra along a 21 km stretch of road, just out of Penola. That's more than one winery per kilometre!
During the month of July is the 10th anniversary of Cellar Dwellers. I just had to drop by and take advantage of the festivities, and I am thinking of popping back again to enjoy some more!
Keep your eye out for the Coonawarra Wine Tasting Roadshow, when Coonawarra vignerons take their wines on tour around the country next month.

Summer , in wool bombed Penola |
Wow!! Those images are amazing. You're a very talented photographer. Wine and chocolate. mmmmm
ReplyDeleteOh Thank you Renee, you are good for my ego xx
DeleteHow funny that I should be sitting here reading this with my mum who is a huge wine lover and has done all the Aussie wine regions. She recognises many of these spots! Beautiful pics xx
ReplyDeleteGood on your mum, that's one way to see the country!
DeleteGreat photos - I recognise all the spots as I too was there last month of a little wine tour around the vineyards. I really did fall in love, such a beautiful place (and some great wines coming out of that region too)!
ReplyDeleteOh and how cute are the crocheted light posts and seats in the township of Penola - really does give off the vibe that the place really is loved and well cared for!
DeleteI love yarn bombs. I wish I knew how to knit or crochet so I can warm up some trees. $3 for Chocolate and wine??!!! I think they call that heaven!
ReplyDeleteThey had 5 tastings of reds, there was only one I didn't fancy, a Shiraz. You could be sure I drank all the $40 cabernet! The $3 was to pay for the chocolate samples.
DeleteHow cool is that wool bombing a place.
ReplyDeleteIt really adds character to the town of Penola.
DeleteLove Penfolds wines!
ReplyDeleteI would love to go winery visiting one day. :)
This strip of wineries is very popular for bus trips. I remember I went on a Tennis breakup one year and we tasted to our hearts content, handy to have a driver!
DeleteGreat photo's - feeling thirsty and hungry
ReplyDeleteha ha, have a wine!
