Yesterday was bitterly cold. I wasn't keen on being outside. Izzy was home, she had croup on Monday night. Croup sucks. Neither of us slept very much at all. I took her to the doctors earlier in the day, I wasn't keen on her being outside either. She had different ideas and a bit of fresh air was probably not a bad thing.
While she rode her bike in the driveway, Summer followed me about as I took photos of flowers. Izzy soon joined us. It wasn't long before the rain started to pitter patter, we retreated indoors and on went the heating!
Wordless Wednesday
Winter is definitely a time to keep insular indoors. We get croup in this household too which is always unpleasant and exhausting. Sometimes a bit of fresh air, although not ideal, perks the sick ones up a bit and that is worth a million bucks.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers. With the mild autumn we've had, I think the garden thinks it's Spring already!
I hate Winter in this house. It's just soooo hard to keep warm. I always love looking at your beautiful photos :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kaz. I love our reverse cycle heating, it's instant.
DeleteGorgeous photos! I'm quite happy about the cooler weather, but in QLD that means the low 20's. Keep warm in SA! xx
ReplyDeleteOur winter days can be so chilly. Not looking forward to the 12 degree days!
DeleteGorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteHope Izzy is better soon.
We are still going about in shorts and tshirts here during the day, bizzare weather!!
It's definitely winter here now!
DeleteHubby came home early from work too, he has the 'flu'. God help me, I hope me and Summer don't get it. Poor Izzy had croup on top of it.
Awesome photos

Oh thanks Leanne xx
DeleteBeautiful pictures. I think where I live has missed the memo on it being winter next week. I'm in a singlet and shorts with the fan on!
ReplyDeleteOh shutup! :D
DeleteWe've had croup visit us recently too, UGH, so over it!!!! But we have a warmer climate so it doesn't stay around for long. Love these flowers. Health vibes to your girl xx
ReplyDeleteGlad she has the medicine to make her breathe better. I am sure she will be ok in a few days. It doesn't help she has a cold on top of it.
DeleteGorgeous piccies.... I really love the detail in really close up pics. These are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Zita. I really love taking a closer look in the garden :)
DeleteThose pics are stunning. Plants are so incredibly detailed. Really lovely photography.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle xx
DeleteCroup really does suck, I hope she's happier now :( How cute is that little snail tho!
ReplyDeleteIs it really just a week to go before winter official starts! my little ones don't mind the cold (though I do) but they definitely mind the rain. they are aching to get outside every chance they get whenever we get a sunny stretch during the day. Those photos are breathtaking btw!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos Alicia! I have to say, I'm not a huge Winter fan either. It doesn't get crazy cold here in Qld, but cold enough for me to complain about it :)
