The limestone rocks were awesome, it's the first time I've seen them up close. There were little caverns all along the river too in the rock faces, amazing.
It makes me wonder what the early white settlers must have been feeling when they came to this country - so wild and different to what they were used to!
Not the first time I've been on this river in a boat, that was over 20 years ago and was a cocktail party on a chartered boat from out of Nelson. Hubby bought himself a new tinny and we went camping and cruising for a picnic down the river at the Princess Margaret Rose caves this day.
I guess so. Those that are brave enough to do a canoe camping trip, fancy packing everything up in a canoe and taking off for a camping trip! Dunno if I could.
So much fresh air, green surroundings and cool water. I'm not generally a camping/outdoorsy person, but I would definitely enjoy a boat ride down the river like this one.
Wow beautiful. Love the water and rising rock.
