I made scones, and I can't stop eating them...help!
Jam and cream, butter and vegemite, I've had 6, cut in half, that's 12 halves!
How do you like your scones?
2 cups SR Flour
pinch salt
2 tspns butter
3/4 cup milk
Sift flour and salt. Rub in butter.
Add milk, make into dough.
Roll out to 2cm thickness and cut
Put in a hot floured tin and bake for 7-10 minutes in hot oven.
enjoy
Yum!! I have never mastered the scone but might have to try!!
ReplyDeletelol I really havn't mastered it either, but I had some whipped cream to use up and scones with jam seemed like the easiest thing to do.
DeleteI normally use lemonade scone recipe but this looks easy and just as nom nom nom !
ReplyDeleteStrawberry jam and cream unless they are pumpkin scones...butter.

ReplyDeleteI love a good scone. My mother makes them by heart :) Yours look yummy.
ReplyDeleteThey were yummy, hence why I ate so many lol :)
DeleteYou have to eat scones in one sitting, otherwise they go stale :)
ReplyDeleteLove making hot scones. I use cream instead of milk in mine - don't know why - actually guess it was because thats how grandma did it. I believe there is some rule where scones must be eaten within hours of being baked, isn't there?
ReplyDeleteI used to work for a couple who used cream too. I must try that next time.
DeleteWow, so easy! Definitely going to try these!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Sunday Sweeties link up.

I have been thinking about making scones for a while now. Do you know I have not made them since I was in Food Tech in high school. And hubby loves them too. I am going to try your recipe. Looks pretty easy to do, so I have no excuse not to. Thanks so much for sharing :-)
