Haybale views

Last week we had a break at the beach house in Pelican Point. Well tried, it's nice to be at the beach, but it's a bit like...same shit, different house. Hence my absence last Monday. I did try to post using the internet on my phone, but no success.

The house has been pretty well booked out since before Christmas, we took the opportunity to stay while we can! I've been busy coming and going cleaning and changing linen too, even Christmas morning. It's been hectic.

Every time I saw these views on the way, on the Tantanoola/Kongorong road, I have said many times I should stop, I wish I had the camera.

Well I made the point of stopping this time.  I am so glad I stopped, because a week later they are gone, and the paddock harvested and flat.

We were treated with an amazing sunset on the first night. Pelican Point was showing off, as we had friends drop in for a BBQ dinner after exploring the beaches.

Reflections

We've had a really, really wet winter. There's loads of water laying about, and I've been hanging out for the opportunity to take some reflection photos.

I am forever kicking myself for not stopping when I see something worth photographing. For missing great opportunities.

These are all photos that I didn't pass up the opportunity. I got up off the lounge or pulled the car over, even turned the car around to capture the reflections in the water. Soon enough the water will dry up, the green grass turned to brown and I would have missed my chance.

Sunrise and sundown

We stayed at our holiday house by the sea over the weekend. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, with some warmth in it too.

I am always commenting on other people's photos of sunrises, that I wish I was out with the camera at that time of day. I happened to wake up at the right time, squished in between Summer and Izzy in our queen size bed. Brett had vacated, or been kicked out sometime during the night. They were all still asleep, so I snuck out to enjoy the sunrise.

The sun rises at the back of our house and sets(the last three photos) at the front.

Our little stone house is located away from the beach, thank goodness, because in rough weather those that are on the foreshore end up with seaweed in the front yard!

We have farm land behind us and across the road at the front of the house. There's usually cows in those paddocks. There is a heap of water at the moment from the amount of rain we've had. We are lucky we are up a little higher and the yard is dry. Our neighbours have a huge pond puddle at their front gate!

All my life's a circle
Sunrise and sundown
Moon rolls through the night time
'Til the daybreak comes around.

All my life's a circle
But I can't tell you why
Season's spinning round again
The years keep rollin' by.
