Casa Pelicano

I spent some time at our holiday house this time last week. I SO enjoyed it, I felt a shift in attitude, a good shift.

Particularly where the girls are concerned, everything become a little more relaxed. I didn't feel so stressed. We did lots of exploring and I can't wait to share it with you. We all know I love showing you our fabulous coastline!

Settlement was supposed to be finalised on the 8th of January, through no fault of ours, it still isn't done. Today might be the day! Under legal arrangement we have been renting it for $1 since the 5th.

There is still a shed to be built(in about six weeks) and fencing to be erected. It seems that blue colourbond is a very popular colour in these parts for sheds, so we'll be keeping with that theme.

Once that has been completed, we'll start renting it out as a holiday home. By then, hopefully the lawn has improved a bit! No one has lived in this home for at least two years, so the bugs and spiders had taken over. It came up a treat with lots of fly spray, a clean and airing out. We were lucky it had new carpets, a new roof, and a new lick of paint.

Most of the furniture we picked up really cheap, or family have given us. Don't tell anyone, but the green check lounge was in my brothers shed and the dog had been sleeping on it. I shampooed it and it is like new!

So here is your first tour of Casa Pelicano, 30 Racketts Road, Pelican Point. Our little holiday home we got for the bargain price of $114,000!

Basket thanks to Mrs Woog and the Market Basket Co. A surprise win just before christmas!
